Gorch Fock

The Ambassador in White

Majestic, stately, and steeped in tradition: the GORCH FOCK is more than a sail training ship – she is a maritime icon. Since her launch in 1958, she has served as the floating training center of the German Navy, where generations of officers have mastered the art of seamanship. But her role extends beyond training alone. As the "Ambassador in White," the GORCH FOCK carries a message of cooperation and maritime pride across the globe.

Her decks have welcomed kings, heads of state, and renowned figures, and now she is setting course for Amsterdam. For the first time since 1985, the GORCH FOCK will once again be part of SAIL! A remarkable return after 40 years, offering sailing enthusiasts a unique opportunity to admire this impressive vessel up close. The crew is eager to present the ship to an audience that appreciates the beauty and craftsmanship of classic tall ships.

Step aboard and experience the GORCH FOCK – a piece of maritime history, still sailing in all her glory.
