Information
Aboard a Dutch Tall Ship or executive ship, you will experience SAIL up close! You will be warmly welcomed at one of our SAIL Villages, the specially equipped reception locations in the Western Port Area. Accompanied, you will be taken to the booked ship where the captain and crew will give you a warm welcome.
During the closing ceremony of SAIL 2025, the impressive Tall Ships leave Amsterdam. Thousands of fans wave the ships and their crew goodbye. Flags and pennants provide colourful images. Accompany the ships on their way out to sea aboard one of the official SAIL ships. Together, we all look forward to seeing them again in #SAIL2030.

13:00 uur
Collect at SAIL Village. You can check in at the front desk. There will be coffee and tea on arrival.
14:00 uur
The captain will personally welcome you aboard your reserved ship. Around 14:30, the Sail-Out Parade begins. The tall ships leave the IJhaven one by one and sail up the North Sea Canal, accompanied by an armada of ships. You will sail along in this fantastic ‘Sail-Out Parade’. Snacks and drinks are served on board.
17:00 uur
Along the route, hundreds of thousands of enthusiasts stand to watch the whole thing from a distance. Meanwhile, a sumptuous buffet is served on board.
19:00 uur
The captain moors at SAIL Village and says goodbye. An unforgettable, inspiring and connecting experience!
