A triple anniversary
The most spectacular edition ever!
In 2025, SAIL returns after 10 years with a triple anniversary: the most spectacular edition ever! Together, we will celebrate the 10th edition of the largest free event in the Netherlands, 50 years of SAIL, and the 750th anniversary of our capital city. 2.3 million visitors will gather from August 20 to 24, 2025, in the nautical setting of international Tall Ships and thousands of boats. The IJ harbour will turn orange, and from the NDSM pier, you will experience five days of camaraderie and top entertainment on the water. Special packages have been created for the business market and groups of 8 or more. At the end of August 2024, the sale of sailing tickets for SAIL cruises will begin. Pre-registration for individual cruise tickets is now open!

All sailing trips during SAIL are exclusively offered on SAIL.nl or through one of our accredited partners. Only these organizations have exclusive access to the event with their ships. The largest free event in the Netherlands can only be organized thanks to the support of partners and the sale of sailing trips. Van vuurtoren tot podium: Tonky & Jack maken het SAIL 2025 Kidslied
Als kind stond hij al langs de kade, vol verwondering kijkend naar de schepen die de haven van Amsterdam binnenvoeren. Nu, decennia later, maakt hij samen met zijn muzikale alter ego Jack en hond Tonky het themalied voor de jongste bezoekers van SAIL 2025. “Het is echt een hele eer. Zeker als je bedenkt dat ik SAIL ontdekte toen ik zelf zo oud was als de doelgroep van Tonky & Jack nu,” vertelt Marten, de man achter Tonky & Jack.

SAIL Kids Club – Optimist on Tour
In samenwerking met Optimist on Tour stappen jonge avonturiers zelf het water op. Van woensdag 20 tot en met zondag 24 augustus kunnen kinderen (t/m 12 jaar) gratis kennismaken met zeilen, suppen, kanovaren én waterskiën — elke 10 minuten start er een nieuw onderdeel, dus er is volop te beleven!
